ISKCON in Karnataka under the banner of Naam Hatta Directorate is observing the 500th Sannyasa Anniversary of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. This festival
shall be observed in Shimoga, Udupi,Madikeri and in Mysore.
The program highlights are that there shall be a Procession in the respective places having a huge 16ft banner of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu accompanied by
Harinam Sankirtan. This will be followed by a Discourse on the Life and Teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu by devotees and a Play/Drama by Shimoga
devotees entitled " Nimai Sannyasa". Around 30 devotees are taking part in this drama. Followed by prasadam.
Please note the first of such program will be held in SHIMOGA on the 13th and 14th of February 2010. The Program schedule is as follows:
13th Saturday 5pm. Procession with Nagar Sankirtan.
14th Sunday 10 AM Bhajans
10:30 AM Discourse on the Life and Teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. (Speaker to be Announced).
Noon : Drama on " Nimai Sannayasa. Followed by Prasad.

There are two trains to Shimoga.
One leaves at 4:30 PM(intercity) and reaches Shimoga 9:30 pm. And the other is the night train leaving bangalore @ 11:15 pm and arriving shimoga at 6 AM. There is return train @ 10:15 pm from Shimoga and arriving bangalore @ 5AM.
The next such festival shall be held in Udupi in the 2nd week of March.
Please watch out for the dates. Also VERY SOON we shall announce the dates of Sri Jagannath Rath Yatra in Madikeri.
