With Sri Gaura Poornima wishes, ISKCON Sri Jaganath Mandir,Bangalore celebrates the holiest of all festivals (Fasting is till evening (Moonrise) .The schedule are as follows
28 Feb 2010 Sunday
Sri Gaura Purnima celebrations are as follows
8.15 A.M Special morning Bhagavatam Class
10.00 -12 Noon Nagarsankirtan accompanied by book distribution,
4.00 P.M Onwards - Abhishekam to Lord Gauranga
5.30 P.M –Reading on the Divine appearance of Lord Gauranga
Scheduled after the class or in the evening -Drama by IYF devotes (Partly on Caitanya Lila and partly on Book Distribution
7.30 P.M - Gaura Arathi
7.45 P.M - Honor Maha Prasadam (Non- Grain prasadam)
Note: Devotees who wish to volunteer for lot of seva can give their names to the book counter and be present for the service.
All the devotees are requested to attend the celebrations with traditional vaishava dress, prabhu's in dhoti, mataji’s in saree.
Bhoga : Those devotees who wish to bring any offerings such as milk, curds, honey , dry fruits , ghee can do so and can hand it over to the pujari's at the temple . All the initiated devotees can cook for their lordships and those who are not initiated can bring in their offerings to the lord .Please do not buy sweets or any other cooked items from hotel and bring it for offering.
Note: Sri Jaganath Misra feast which falls on Monday ,we would announce the celebration date shortly to accommodate all the devotees.Await for more announcements on seva, etc.
